It's a great honor for me to stand here to deliver a speech to you. Then today I want to talk something about dreams and reality.
As the famous Russian litterateur Lev Tolstoy (列夫、托尔斯泰)said，“Ideal is the beacon(烟火、灯塔). Without ideal，there is no secure (无虑的，安全的.，安心的，可靠的，保险的)direction; without a direction，there is no life.” So there’s no doubt that everyone needs his or her own ideal. Have you ever thought that what is practical and sensible(.明智的，有感觉的，明理的) will connect with our most treasured dreams? Maybe，to somebody，reality has little relation to ideal. To others nothing can be done without the sense of reality. So make our dreams a part of our reality. And make our reality a part of our dreams. There is no reason why our dreams must oppose our reality. Improve our dreams and our reality by bringing them together.
As a university student，establishing a dream is one of the most important things we have to do everyone must see the reality clearly at first. Your family condition，your personal ability，your social intercourse (交往、交流)，your subject and the job you want to do，these things show you the reality and lead you to establish a dream.
Further more，difficult or otherwise，we should put the power of reality into our dreams. Last but not least remember to work hard at the task of chasing追逐our dreams. Do believe that we can achieve our ideal step by step by the passage of time!

Take a look at the street, we can see people walking around in Nike and Adidas ，beyond the curb, long lines of vehicles shuttle like wind on the tar among which there’re Mercedes-Benz ,BMW, Toyota ,and some of the Volkswagen whose price is definitely not so “volks” at all. They’re all heading for the same direction: the New Oriental School, coz the Olympics is around and learning English is currently the hottest way blowing away your after-work time and money in town. Everything about this picture is so global that you can hardly tell if it’s Bei Jing or Belgium.
However, there’s one grey speck on this splendid picture of globalization I just can’t shift my eyes away from. It’s a migrant worker covered with dirt. Pushing a large cart of bricks 5 times his own weight with his skinny arms, the man was about my age. His eyes hollow holes, for there’s nothing but the hardship of survival in there. Was he married? Was he smart? Did he go to middle school? Or perhaps primary school? Where was he from? Is there anyone waiting for him at home?
As we look out to globalization with great expectation, there’s also crisis lying within. But the crisis was not brought onto us from anywhere out there. It lies within our system and was made by ourselves. Some call it regional bias, some call it household permit system, but not matter what name it bears. It’s the same thing we see in this country: born a countryman, always a countryman. And countryman here is not just a nickname suggesting where you live. It means that you can’t have a lot of the basic public benefits like free compulsory education and medical insurance like the city men have. It means you would have to be times as outstanding as students from the metropolitans in exams to be admitted into good schools. In means, very much likely, in that migrant worker’s case, that you can work and live in the city honestly for 10 years but people still despises you because they think they are somehow superior. It’s true that globalization is all over the air, but despite it’s the same air that we breathe ,I wonder how many of them feel it even exsit.
Does learning to compete in the global era involve migrant workers? I believe few would think so. Because usually what we care about are things like trade surplus, intercultural communication and Paris Hilton. But does it not involve migrant workers?
Let’s make an interesting assumption here. Today, I see a lot of young faces in this building, in 10 years, many of us will have our children. And I suppose that in 10 years, the migrant worker I saw on the street the other day and many like him will have their children. I can’t help wondering with this globalization gap keep lying between the two of us, can my child work together with his children for the country in the future competition of the global era? And will this country be able to win the competition without its rural people which takes up about 80% of its total population?
No! This situation must be changed! And the time is now! The long and weary journey to its final solution may take decades, or even centuries. But it starts with our little good will. If everyone in this room donate 10 yuan to the Hope project, we might be able to get the son of a migrant worker through junior school. By which we’re not only helping them but also helping ourselves.
If we want to learn to compete with others, we’ll first have to learn to take care of our own man , and if we want to learn to live with globalization,we’ll first learn it, from those who live without it.
My dream is to be able to enter the university, a civil servant exam, be able to do in the future President.
Because whenever we have history class, miss huang said, now China, on China's land is proud, but to the land, in the rest of the world is nothing, foreigners look down on us, just look up our money.
Particularly in the United States the most hateful, advocacy of other countries, to occupy our land of China, especially in Japan, has long wanted to occupy our land.
And the leadership of our country, always countries with it, says inheriting Confucius' thought, because of our humanity, to enable the leaders of other countries, a once to occupy our land, I believe that as long as we the people of the whole country have MAO zedong thought, then other countries not to occupy.
If I became President, I must not let others occupation of our country, I can't over three to tell, I will deal with them, in MAO zedong thought to let them know that our country is not good humiliate.
But I want to finish my dream, will face many difficulties, the most important thing is that my study is not ideal, it is not easy to want to take an examination of an university, more can't be a President, but I never give up, because I always believe a word: after many difficulties, is a beautiful rainbow, only my face, to overcome the difficulties, will meet a beautiful rainbow, no matter what others say I daydream, toad trying to swallow a swan, I it doesn't matter, because this is only temporary.
I believe that as long as I have a dream, a pursuit, again difficult environment also have no relationship.

因为每当我们上历史课的时候，黄老师就说：现在的中国，在中国的土地上很高傲，但却到了其它国家的土地上，就什么都不是了，外国人瞧不起我们，只瞧的起我们的钱。
特别是美国最可恶，倡导其它国家，来占领我们中国的土地，尤其是日本，一直以来都想占领我们的土地。
而我们国家的领导，总是对它国仁，说要继承孔子思想，就是因为我们的仁，才使其它国家的领导，一次有一次的来占领我们的土地，我相信只要我们全国人民有毛泽东思想，那么其它国家就不敢来占领了。
如果我当上了主席，我一定不会让其它国家占领我国，我不会一而再三的去讲仁，我会用毛泽东思想来对付他们，让他们知道我国不是好欺负的。
可是我想完成我的梦想时，终会面临很多的难题，最重要的是我的学习不理想，要想考个大学是不容易的，更不可能当上，但我从来都没有放弃过，因为我总相信一句话：重重困难后，就是美丽的彩虹，只有我面对了，战胜了重重困难，就一定会遇见美丽的彩虹，不管别人怎么说我做白日梦，癞蛤蟆想吃天鹅肉，我都无所谓，因为这只是短暂的。
我相信，只要我有梦想，有追求，再困难的环境也没有什么关系。

I'm very honored to stand here and give you a short speech! To begin with ,I want to ask a question .Does everybody dream a good dream last night? Actually ,today I want to talk about dream with you. Of course, What I want to talk is not a dream you have last night,but a dream—— about life.
Everyone has dreams about life, different dreams at different life stage,and we need dreams to support us. Dreams are like the stars we never reach in the sky,but like most mariners,we can chart our course by them. With the dream,we have a direction,with a direction, we were no longer confused.With the dream, there is hope,With hope, we have the strength to fight.
I have a dream: To be a doctor.，because doctor may relieve the pain of patients. May let the human change the health. At the same time, I believed that, those who help others may be able to obtain joyfully. Therefore, I hoped in the near future ,I might be a doctor.
But I know，life is tough,and there are always ups and downs, maybe we fail in the way to our aims,and we may feel depressed ,whenever at this time, the dream in our heart can always comfort us, encourage us ,and support us to move ahead.
Young!Fortunately, I am young now. Just due to it, I know that nothing is impossible.I firmly believe that nothing can stand in my way. If I can't realize my dream,it result from that I haven't work harder enough and I won't find other excuses. If no people believe you, you can make it to prove that you are right. If you think the god haven't blessed you and there is no truth here, you can become the god and create the truth.
“My breath swallows the sky and make the yellow river overflow, my sword is famous in Kyushu and it can collapse the five sacred mountains.” At some time in the past I also had am bitious words and I had some achievements. Each achievement results from my hard work. I always believe that “If you want to have more achievements than others, you must work harder.” In some extent, the dream is the hope. If you can insist on doing something, the victory will come.

what would you do if you failed? many people may choose to give up. however, the surest way to success is to keep your direction and stick to your goal.
on your way to success, you must keep your direction. it is just like a lamp, guiding you in darkness and helping you overcome obstacles on your way. otherwise, you will easily get lost or hesitate to go ahead.
direction means objectives. you can get nowhere without an objective in life.
you can try to write your objective on paper and make some plans to achieve it. in this way, you will know how to arrange your time and to spend your time properly. and you should also have a belief that you are sure to succeed as long as you keep your direction all the time.
English is a useful language all over the world. Why are we began to learn English when we were little children? Beacause it is very important for us to learn it.In the world, if you cannot speak English you will lose half a chance to success.
I began to learn English when I was 8 years old.At that moment,I do not like English.I connot remember all the words which I have learnt.I think it is very difficult for me to learn it well.So I cannot read English loudly and I never answer the questions in the English classes.
Even if my English is very bad, my teacher stll encourages me to learn English hard and he gives me some ways to learn English. He tells me to read passages loudly and listen to the English tapes everyday morning.In order to progress my writing he also asks me to write some articles at times. I like listen to the English songs,he suggests me to sing the English songs.As a result of his ways my English becomes well.
Now, I like English very well and I still use the ways he tells me.I know I must learn English even hard.

I have been in University for about one year. During my stay here, I came to realize that university life is like drinking coke. We experience all tastes of life here, sour, sweet, bitter and hot. I am from Province, which is far away from here. I often miss my Mum, friends, and relatives in my hometown. However, I can't see them very often. So loneliness always keeps me company. I am sad that I can't be there with them. Lucky for me, life in university is rich and colorful. With more free time,we can do many more things besides study, such as joining societies clubs, and taking part-time jobs. Such activities not only make our life more colorful, but also help us improve all kinds of skills. The university is a society miniature, what we learn here will benefit our future life. Our path in life will not always be smooth. Setbacks can't be avoided. Failing an important exam, break up with boy or girl friend, or refused by a promising company, such setbacks are likely to get us down. Sometimes we fell so frustrated that we even burst into tears. Drinkin coke is wonderful, despite the undesirble consequent hiccups. It's bitter, sour and peppery, but also sweet. And you'll even feel excited after gulping down a glass. it’s noticable that western holidays are becoming increasingly popular day by day, while chinese traditional festivals are being somewhat neglected. not long before about 10 doctors in beijing university and qinghua unversity announced that we should reject the invasion of western holidays ,because they regard western holidays as an challenge against our traditional festivals and culture.
frankly speaking, i don’t quite agree with them.indeed, we should never neglect or even discard our traditonal festivals as china boasts a brilliant history and splendid traditions.
(examples).but why can’t we absorb the meaningful western holidays and culture.
there are obvious reasons why some western holidays are so popular in china. on the one hand, some of the western holidays which we chinese don’t have are reasonable and meaningful, such as father’s day and april fool’s day etc. on the other hand,the prevalence of globalization enables western culture to prevail in china. overwhelmed by such a trend,chinese unconsiciously get involved in western holidays and culture.
with the further development of the whole world, the cultural communication between different countries and nations becomes faster and more and more important. we are indeed from different nations, but we are the citizens of the same world, so the outstanding culture of different nations is the commom wealth of everyone on the earth.the only way for us to protect our traditional culture is to reject the foreign culture? the answer is definitely no. what we ought to do is to spare no effort to educate chinese to get to know and treasure our splendid traditions instead of rejecting foreign culture. only by educating can we set our confidence and belief towards our culture.
