Distributions of fatty acids in a stalagmite related to paleoclimate change at Qingjiang in Hubei, southern China

Fatty acids extracted from a subtropical stalagmite at Qingjiang in Southern China's Hubei Province were analysed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. These n-alkanoic acids range from C14 to C26 in carbon number, maximizing at C16, with a second dominance at C22. In contrast to the stalagmite analysed, the overlying soils are characterized by the dominance of heavy-molecular-weight homologues (>C20). The n-fatty acids in the stalagmite were proposed to be contributed by both the soil ecosystems and the microbes harboring in the percolating water and the cave. The ratios of unsaturated to saturated n-fatty acids (C16:1/C16:0,C18:1/C18:0) appear to show trends comparable with the oxygen isotope records of the stalagmite carbonate, with enhanced values associated with the cold episode such as Heinrich event 1. This paleoclimate-dependent record of the n-fatty acids might reflect microbial changes in physiology and activity in response to the temperature. This record shows somewhat difference from the previous paleoclimate signal extracted from n-alkanols and n-alkan-2-ones of the same stalagmite. The acid record fails to document the well-known Younger Dryas event which was effectively shown by the latter two biomarkers derived from soil ecosystems. This discrepancy might result from the changing biogeochemical impact on different lipid fractions as well as the varied organism populations in different ecosystems.

The aim of this work is to solve the partitioning problem, the most canonical NP-complete problem containing numerical parameters, within the sticker model of DNA computing. We firstly design a parallel program for addition, and then give a program to calculate the subset sums of a set. At last, a program for partitioning is given, which contains the former programs. Furthermore, the correctness of each program is proved in this paper.

A股市场“只进不出”现象有望得到大大缓解。10月17日,证监会新闻发言人张晓军宣布,证监会正式发布《关于改革完善并严格实施上市公司退市制度的若干意见》(以下简称《退市意见》),并从月16日起实施。

据中华工商时报记者了解到,《退市意见》主要从五个方面改革完善了退市制度,包括健全上市公司主动退市制度;明确实施重大违法公司强制退市制度;严格执行市场交易类、财务类强制退市指标;加强退市公司投资者合法权益保护等。

“达标”一家退市一家

距离上次征求意见稿的发布已过去三个月有余,与之相比,《退市意见》明确了实施重大违法公司强制退市,严格执行市场交易类、财务类强制退市指标,并进一步明确了重大违法公司及有关责任人员的赔偿责任。

作为亮点之一,上市公司主动退市制度颇受关注。在《退市意见》中,监管层提出强化主动退市的概念,明确提出收购、回购、吸收合并以及其他市场活动引发的7种退市情形。引导上市公司认识到,退市与否,并不是评判公司好坏的唯一标准,公司应该结合实际考察,是否有足够能力在资本市场生存,生存不下去,就选择退市。

《退市意见》中明确规定,主动退市须经出席会议的股东所持表决权的2/3以上通过,并须经出席会议的中小股东所持表决权的2/3以上通过。

张晓军表示,证监会将指导沪深交易所进一步严格落实退市工作责任,严格落实退市制度的规范要求,切实做到“出现一家、退市一家”,坚决维护退市制度的严肃性和权威性。

在重大违法公司强制退市制度方面,《退市意见》中规定,针对欺诈发行、重大信息披露违法等市场反映强烈的两类违法行为,落实《证券法》关于重大违法暂停上市和终止上市的规定,明确规定上市公司存在上述两类违法行为,被证监会依法作出行政处罚决定,或者因涉嫌犯罪被证监会依法移送公安机关的,证券交易所应当暂停其股票上市交易。

对于《退市意见》的发布,多位市场人士将其解读为“最严退市新规”。在分析人士看来,此举标志着新一轮资本市场退市制度开始步入实质性操作阶段,细化之后的制度明确了退市的具体标准,“刚性”的制度加上“刚性”落实,有望开启中国股市一个顺畅的退出渠道。

ST股压力骤增

多年以来,A股市场因缺乏严格完善的退市制度,是阻碍A股市场发展的一大桎梏,“只进不出”的状态让一批业绩持续亏损或有严重违规造假行为的垃圾股招摇过市,更有甚者,一些公司以“重组”之名被游资大肆炒作,致使“不死鸟”传说在A股市场上一直屡见不鲜。

证监会发布的数据显示,从至今,沪深交易所累计有78家公司退市,从年均看,我国股市每年仅有个位数股票退市,远低于境外股市年均6%至8%的退市率。

但随着“最严退市新规”制度的不断推进,这一现象将会得到大大的缓解。那么,哪些股票将面临严峻挑战?对此业内人士指出,首当其冲的将是那些ST公司。

根据沪深交易所规则,“三年连亏”依然是暂停上市的主要条件。随着三季报的陆续公布,ST公司前三季度盈利情况浮出水面。Wind数据统计显示,目前两市已公布三季度业绩预告的约20家ST公司中,有四成继续亏损,8家将面临暂停上市窘境。

据公开数据显示,其中业绩亏损幅度较大的包括*ST新民、*ST东力、*ST三鑫、*ST仪化、*ST东数等。这些企业在、年度已连续两年亏损,且今年中报、三季度业绩预告继续亏损甚至亏损有所扩大。

分析师指出,如果上述企业在年底仍不能扭亏,将面临暂停上市的命运。

Middle Permian palaeobiogeography study in East Kunlun, Anyêmaqên and Bayan Har

Three regions can easily be identified in the study area according to the Middle Permian palaeobiogeographic distribution of biota, they are the southern slope of East Kunlun, A'nyêmaqên and Bayan Har. Biotic constitution and ecology in the southern slope of East Kunlun and Bayan Har are very similar. Both the diversity and abundance of organisms in these two areas are very high and reefs are widely developed. However, biotic diversity and abundance in A'nyêmaqên which is between the above two areas are obviously low. Differentiation of palaeobiogeographic distribution in these areas should be due to the baring of A'nyêmaqên ocean in the time of Middle Permian. Middle Permian radiolarian chert and thick abyssal red ooze are widely spread in A'nyêmaqên, implying that the A'nyêmaqên ocean had a great scale in size. Vast scale of deep ocean basin became an impassable gulf for some of the benthos, and as a result, only part of the organisms could have the chance to get to the isolated islands situated in ocean basin. Small living space and hard conditions in the islands further limited the abundance and diversity of biota. Tectonic background reflected by the geochemical study of basalt in the three areas is coupling well enough with the palaeobiogeographic division.

Coupled Numerical Analysis of the Stability Behaviour of Unsaturated Soil Slopes Under Rainfall Conditions

The stability behaviour of unsaturated soil slopes under rainfall conditions is investigated via a parametric finite element analysis, which is a fully coupled flow and deformation approach linked to a dynamic programming technique for determining the minimum factor of safety as well as its corresponding critical slip surface based on the stress fields from the numerical computation. The effects of rainfall features, soil strength parameters and permeability properties on slope stability are studied. The analyses revealed that the soil matric suction decreased during rainfall, especially in slopes with high permeability and/or with high suction angles of unsaturated soils. The influence of rainfall conditions on such slopes is quite obvious, and soil suction drops rapidly, which leads to a consequent quick reduction in the factor of safety.
