On the eighth day the Fujian people have another family reunion dinner, and at midnight they pray to Tian Gong, the God of Heaven.
The ninth day is to make offerings to the Jade Emperor.
The 10th through the 12th are days that friends and relatives should be invited for dinner. After so much rich food, on the 13th day you should have simple rice congee and mustard GREens (choi sum) to cleanse the system.
The 14th day should be for preparations to celebrate the Lantern Festival which is to be held on the 15th night.
It was the Lantern Festival, and my parents took me to the Confucius temple to see the Lantern Festival. Along the way, it was drizzling. One to the Confucius temple, the eyes are all lights, as if into the light of the sea. The lotus lantern on the left, the advertising lamp on the right, looks like two soaring dragons.
After that, my parents took me to the lantern market to buy lanterns. What a lot of lanterns! There are rabbit lights, pigeon lights, and dog lights... I looked back and forth several times. It was dazzling. I was dazzled, didn't know which to buy? Finally, I bought an antique candle lamp.
Then mom and dad took me to the pedal boat. Because of the festival, so many people, lined up a long team. We chose a goose boat, my father and mother pedaled, and I held the rudder. We had a happy Lantern Festival.
After the annual Lantern Festival is the most, people took to the streets to see lanterns from all directions, there are many a variety of lanterns on the street, there are lights, lanterns and lights, but my favorite is the headlights. Because on the 15th day of the first month, people will eat yuanxiao, so it is called "yuanxiao festival".
