Mount Qomolangma is distributed in Tibet and Pakistan, India, Nepal,Sikkim, Bhutan and other countries. Its main part is at the junction of Chinaand Nepal. The north slope is in Tibet and the south slope is in Nepal."Qomolangma" in Tibetan means "virgin". In Tibetan, "Qomolangma" means goddess, and "Langma" means the third. Because there are four mountains near MountQomolangma, which ranks the third, it is called Mount Qomolangma. Everest is8848 meters above sea level. It is the main peak of the Himalayas and thehighest peak in the world.

The Himalayas is one of the youngest mountains in the world, with an age of10-20 million years. It is composed of many parallel mountains, with a totallength of 2450 km from east to west and a width of 200-300 km from north tosouth. It is a young folded mountain range with complex structure. From north tosouth, it can be divided into four zones: chaisik mountain, Ladakh mountain, great Himalaya mountain, little Himalaya mountain and siwalik mountain. The mainvein is the great Himalaya mountain, which is the highest, about 50-90 km wideand mainly composed of crystalline rocks. The great Himalayan mountains aretraditionally divided into three sections: the western Himalayas from aripulanto Parbat in Nagaya, India; the Middle Himalayas from namnina to Yadongchuomorali in the east of Pulan; and the great Himalayas from Yadong to YarlungZangbo River in the east of Yadong

At the corner, Namjagbarwa peak is the eastern Himalayas. The averagealtitude of the great Himalayan Mountains is more than 6000 meters, with manypeaks. There are more than 50 peaks over 7000 meters, and 16 peaks over 8000meters. Mount Everest, the worlds highest peak, stands on the border betweenChina and Nepal. Within 5000 square kilometers around Mount Qomolangma, thereare 4 peaks above 8000 meters and 38 peaks above 7000 meters. This phenomenon ofpeak concentration is the only one in the world, so it is called "the roof ofthe world". Under the erosion and cutting of many rivers, the Himalayas haveformed many gorge channels with a depth of several kilometers, which has becomea shortcut for trade and cultural exchanges between Tibet and its surroundingareas.

Mount Qomolangma is an approximately East-West arc-shaped mountain system. The pyramid shaped peak is clearly visible from a hundred kilometers away, giving people a solemn and sacred feeling. Everest is covered with ice and snowall the year round. There are several large glaciers in the canyon. The famousRongbu glacier is formed by the confluence of three glaciers: East, West andmiddle Rongbu. The mountain top glacier covers an area of 10000 squarekilometers, and the snow line (4500-6000 meters) is low in the South and high inthe north.

The natural conditions of Mount Qomolangma are extremely complex, theclimate is harsh and the terrain is steep. The south slope of Mt. Qomolangma isrich in precipitation, with tropical monsoon rain forest below 1000 meters, subtropical evergreen forest between 1000-20__ meters, temperate forest above20__ meters and alpine meadow above 4500 meters. The north slope is mainlyalpine meadow, and there are forests and shrubs in the valley below 4100 meters. There are peacock, gibbon, Tibetan bear, snow leopard, Tibetan antelope andother rare animals and a variety of mineral deposits in the mountains.

Everest, known as the top of the earth, has become the "holy temple" in theminds of mountaineers all over the world, which is the long cherished wish ofevery mountaineer. Since the 18th and 19th centuries, explorers and mountaineersfrom some countries have come to Everest to explore its mystery. But it was notuntil after the 1950s that people climbed Mount Everest from the south slope. From 1921 to 1938, British explorers tried to climb Mount Everest from the northslope seven times, but they all failed, and some even lost their lives. Therefore, they call the north slope "the route of no climbing" and "the routeof death".

Mount Qomolangma was established as a nature reserve in 1989. In 1993, itwas designated as a national nature reserve with a total area of 3.38 millionhectares. Mount Qomolangma has become the highest altitude Nature Reserve inChina. In 20__, Mt. Everest was listed as a national AAAA scenic spot.

The places of historic interest and scenic beauty are the Yu Garden, located in the northeast of Shanghai, old Chengxiang, North Road, Anren street, southwest and Shanghai old temple.

In the park, there are three famous stones of the south of the YangtzeRiver called the jade Linglong, the command point of the 1853 knives uprising, the spring hall, and the tourist attractions of Town Gods Temple and shoppingstreet on the side of the park.

Yu Garden began to open to the public in 1961. In 1982, it was listed as anational key cultural relic protection unit by the State Council.

Yu Garden was originally a private garden in the Ming Dynasty. It was builtin Jiajing and Wanli years. It has been over four hundred years as of 20__.

Pan yunduan, the owner of the garden, was the chief minister of Sichuan. His father pan en, whose name is Zi Ren, was named Lijiang. He was an officialin duchayuan, the censor of zuodou and the Minister of punishment. The panfamily was the wangmen family in Shanghai at that time. In 1553 (the 32nd yearof Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty), the nine mile long wall of Shanghai wasbuilt, which gradually calmed down the Japanese invasion along the southeastcoast. For more than 20 years, the people of Shanghai, whose lives and propertywere often threatened, gained a little stability, and the social economyrecovered and began to prosper. The literati built gardens one afteranother.

Pan en resigned in his old age and returned to his hometown. In order tolet his father live in his old age, pan yunduan began to build gardens onseveral vegetable fields in the west of the Shichun Hall of the pan familyshouse in 1559. After more than twenty years of painstaking efforts, Yu Gardenhas been built. "Yu" has the meaning of "peace" and "Antai". It is named "YuGarden" and has the meaning of "Yuyue old relatives".

At that time, the Yu Garden was over 70 acres, designed by Zhang Nanyang, afamous gardener in Ming Dynasty, and personally involved in the construction. The ancients praised Yu Garden "Qi Xiu Jia in Southeast" and "southeast famousgarden crown".

Pan yunduans family declined in his later years. Pan yunduan died in1620__ (the 29th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty), and his family graduallydeclined, unable to bear the huge expenses of garden repair and management. Atthe end of the Ming Dynasty, Yu Garden was made for Zhang Zhaolin. From then to1760 (twenty-five years of Qianlong emperor), in order not to annihilate thisscenic spot, some local gentry merchants gathered money to buy Yu Garden, andspent more than twenty years to rebuild the terrace and build the mountainstone. At that time, the East Garden in Town Gods Temple was East, that is,todays inner garden, and the Yu Garden was slightly West. Shanghai Yu Gardenancient pavilion landscape

In 1842, twenty-two years ago, the first Opium War broke out, and foreigninvaders invaded Shanghai. The British army took over the Yu Garden and ravagedit. In 1853, in response to the Taiping Revolution, Shanghai Xiaodao Societylaunched an uprising in Shanghai. After the uprising failed, the Qing soldiersburned and looted in the city, and the Yu Garden was severely damaged. Thebuildings such as the spring hall, the fragrant snow hall, the osmanthus flowerhall, the moon house and so on were all on fire.

In 1860 (ten years of Qing Xianfeng), the Taiping Army marched intoShanghai. The Manchu government colluded with the British and French invaders, took Town Gods Temple and Yu Garden as a garrison outside the army, excavatedstones and filled pools in the garden, and built western style military houses. After 1875, the whole garden was divided into more than 20 industrial andcommercial industries in Shanghai, such as bean and rice industry, sugarindustry, cloth industry and so on. On the eve of liberation, the Yu Gardenpavilions were dilapidated, the rockery collapsed, the pool dried up, the treeswithered, and the old landscapes were gradually annihilated.

Since 1956, Yu Garden has carried out a large-scale renovation, whichlasted for five years and opened to the public in September 1961. Now Yu Gardenoccupies an area of over thirty acres, with varied pavilions, lofty mountainsand trees, and green trees. It is beautiful and exquisite, exquisitely carvedand long, and has the characteristics of small and medium sized. It reflects theartistic style of the two dynasties Jiangnan garden architecture in Ming andQing Dynasties.

Yu Garden was listed as a municipal cultural relic protection unit in 1959.Yu Garden was opened to the public in 1961. In February 1982, it was publishedby the State Council as a national key cultural relic protection unit.

Cuixiu hall was built in 1760. It is hidden deep in the north foot of therockery. It faces a cliff and faces a high wall in the north. It is surroundedby ancient wood and beautiful flowers. The environment is quiet and elegant. Youcan have a close view of the rockery by pushing the window in the hall. Nowthere is an antique shop.

"Gradually getting better" comes from the biography of Gu Kai in the bookof Jin, which is fascinating. The corridor is paved with stone slabs, with asmall bridge in the middle and geese on both sides. You can watch the scenery ofthe mountains and rivers. In the middle of the corridor stands a Taihu Lakestone peak, about 2.3 meters high and graceful, so it is called "beautywaist".

The iron lion of the Yuan Dynasty is located in front of the corridor of"getting better". Left female and right male, cast in 1290, the base bears theinscription of "Zhao Zhang, craftsman of Tongshan Town, Anyang County, ZhangdePrefecture" and "xigengyin, 27 years old from the state of yuan, October28".

Built with thousands of tons of Huangshi from Wukang, Zhejiang Province, the rockery was carefully designed and built by Zhang Nanyang, a famous mountainmaker in the Ming Dynasty. It is also his only surviving work. The height of themountain is about 14 meters. Pan Yunduans evaluation of the big rockery in thebook of Yu Garden is: "it is very pleasant to watch."

Yangshan hall is composed of five couplets. In the north, there is anambulatory and a curving sill near the pool. You can sit and rest. In the hall, there is a plaque of "here are lofty mountains" recorded in the preface toLanting by Wang Xizhi of Jin Dynasty. The name of juanyu building comes from thepoem "the curtain of pearls is rolling rain in the West Mountain" in tengwanggeby Wang Bo, a poet of the early Tang Dynasty.

Sansui hall was built in 1760 when the west garden was rebuilt. It is 9meters high. It is one of the main buildings in the garden. In the Qing Dynasty,it was a place for official celebrations and "preaching the oracle", and also agathering place for the local gentry.

The "famous Marine Park" was held in May 18, 1999 by Comrade __ of the CPCCentral Committee and __ and __ to celebrate the 440th anniversary issue of YuGarden construction.

Ginkgo tree is 21 meters high, with dense branches and leaves. It is saidthat it was planted by the owner of the garden for more than 400 years.

The four corners of Wanhua building have the pattern of plum, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum, and the four windows are leaky. There are many windingsills around the corridor. Beside the white wall, there are stone peaks andgreen bamboos.

There is a small pavilion at the east end of the corridor. When you lookdown on it, you can see the clear spring like a mirror. When you look across thecliff, you can see the stone peak standing on the wall. Facing the mountain andfacing the water, you can see the ancient peoples taste of "two suitable formountain and water". So its called liangyixuan. In the north there is abuilding named Yifang, which is shaped like an ancient boat.

The corridor is separated by a wall in the middle and can walk on bothsides. There are leaky windows of different shapes on the wall. From the leakywindows, you can see the terrace on the left and the peak stone on the right, just like a picture sketch. The west end of the corridor is connected with aSquare Pavilion. There is a plaque in the pavilion, which says "understanding isnot far away".

Around the Yule Pavilion, there are towering ancient trees. You can see thefish swimming in the pool by the fence. The watersheds on XieJian stream reflectthe characteristics of Jiangnan gardens. The stream is only a few feet long. Theflower wall divides the stream into two. There are leaky windows andsemicircular openings on the wall. Next to the fish Pavilion, there is aWisteria tree that has passed more than three hundred years of spring andautumn. In the early spring of each year, its branches are full of small whiteflowers.

Genial hall and Dianchun hall are separated from each other by water. Thehall is square and open around. A set of furniture on display in the hall, including tables, chairs, tables and decorative Phoenix and Kirin, are all madeof banyan roots and have a history of more than 100 years. There are stone stepsleading to the listening Oriole Pavilion.

"Da Chang Tai" is also called "Feng Wu Luan Yin". The stage is close to themountain and water. The eaves in front of the stage are exquisitely carved andpainted with gold and color. On the stone pillars around the stage, there arecouplets depicting the scenery of spring, summer, autumn and winter.

In the southeast of dianchuntang, there are lakes, rocks, rockeries, clouds, water and rocks, and deep caves. On the mountain, there are double-layerpavilions; the upper layer is called Kuailu, and the lower layer is calledYanshuang Pavilion. From Kuailu to the south, there are jingyixuan and TingliPavilion, surrounded by flower walls, forming a small courtyard.

Chuanyun dragon wall is located in the west of Dianchun hall. The dragonhead is made of clay, and the dragon body is made of tiles. There are alsoseveral dragon walls in the garden: Wolong behind the rockery, Shuanglong Xizhuin the west of the genial hall, and mianlong in front of the inner garden.

The whole building of Dianchun hall is a five bay hall with characterscarved on the fans. The beams and columns are of peculiar shapes and decoratedwith gold foil. After the hall, there is a water Pavilion in linchi, on whichthere is a plaque saying "feifeiyue". Dianchun hall was built in the early yearsof Daoguang reign in the Qing Dynasty. It was once the place for Fujian foreignmerchants to worship gods in Shanghai. It is commonly known as "HuatangGongshu". During the Xiaodaohui uprising, this was the headquarters of theuprising army in the north of the city. One of the leaders of the Xiaodaohui, the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, recruited Marshal Chen Alin to work here andissued a decree, which was called "dianchuntang mansion". After the failure ofthe uprising, Dianchun hall was seriously damaged. In 1868, it was rebuilt andcompleted in four years. There is a large traditional Chinese painting "swordview" by Ren Bonian, a painter of the late Qing Dynasty. On both sides of thepainting are couplets written by the calligrapher Shen Yinmo: "courage embracesemptiness, and heart is the source of essence.". The hall also displays theweapons used by the rebel army, self coined coins, sun and moon coins, as wellas the announcement and other cultural relics.

Because both sides of the pavilion are facing water, the meaning of"flowing cup and flowing water" is taken from preface to Lanting. On the side ofthe pavilion, there are three curved slab bridges, built with water. West ofSanqu Banqiao is Huanyun rockery. The mountain is made of Lake stones, withdeyuelou in the north and Qingquan in the West. There are springs in the cave, and streams flow out of the cave.

Dear tourists

hello everyone! Now we are driving on Zhengbian Avenue. We will arrive atKaifeng by Zhongmou. It will take about an hour. Before we arrive, lets knowabout the famous city Kaifeng.

British historian Toynbee once said a famous saying that if I had a choice,I would like to live in the Song Dynasty of China. Because the Song Dynasty wasthe heyday of Chinese feudal society, Bianjing, the capital of the Song Dynasty,is todays Kaifeng, the largest city in the world at that time. With apopulation of one million, it was known as the international metropolis at thattime.

Today we will talk about Kaifeng, the capital of the Northern SongDynasty.

Kaifeng is an ancient capital with a history of more than 2700 years. Inhistory, seven dynasties successively established their capitals here. How canthis ancient capital be named Kaifeng? Who named it?

The name of this city is very strange? Some people once said two metaphors:Kaifeng is the name of the city, just like the thawing of the river. Kaifeng iscalled when the river thaws in winter and thaws in spring. Another way is to saythat Kaifengs name is contradictory, because "one Kaifeng and one Kaifeng" isjust the opposite. In fact, both of these two metaphors are incorrect, becauseKaifengs original name is not Kaifeng, but Kaifeng and Qifeng Fengcheng wasbuilt in the spring and Autumn Period 2700 years ago. In order to resist theinvasion of Song state in the East and Wei state in the north, zhengzhuanggongof Zheng state built a city for storing grain and weapons, which means "qituofengjiang" for short. In the Western Han Dynasty, the name of Emperor Wu of HanDynasty was Liu Qi. In order to avoid the taboo of Emperor Wen of Han Dynasty,he changed "Qi" to "Kai". Because Qi and Kai are synonyms, the name of Kaifenghas not changed since Emperor Wen of Han Dynasty.

This city is one of the eight ancient capitals. It is also a very strangecity.

Very strange first point: this city is a stack of layers like a stack ofcities, why? Kaifeng we see today is Kaifeng in the Qing Dynasty. A few metersbelow the city of Kaifeng in the Qing Dynasty is Kaifeng in the Ming Dynasty, then Kaifeng in the Song Dynasty, and then Kaifeng in the Tang Dynasty. At thebottom of Kaifeng, which is 13 meters deep, is the state of Wei in the WarringStates period. Therefore, Kaifeng City shows a form of superposition of cities,so we call this form City on city.

Of course, the main reason for this citys pile of cities is the flood ofthe river, the silt inundating the old city, and then building a new city on thesite of the old city, so this is a very painful process. But it also causes aunique phenomenon, that is, the phenomenon of city on city. Moreover, ourarchaeological excavation today not only found the phenomenon of Kaifeng Citypiled on top of the city wall, but also found that the city wall was piled ontop of the city wall, the road was piled on top of the road, and the centralaxis was piled on top of the central axis. That is to say, when the city ofKaifeng was built, its central axis did not change. Today, there is a road inKaifeng city called Zhongshan Road, which is a vertical overlapping road ofsongduyu street. Therefore, this phenomenon is very unique in Kaifeng, and thereis no similar phenomenon in other cities in the world. Of course, thisphenomenon has also brought great disaster to Kaifeng. The phenomenon of citystacking in Kaifeng means that Kaifeng has experienced five floods Thedestruction of Kaifeng, because Kaifeng city more than 20 miles north of theplace is the Yellow River, until today, the Yellow river bed than Kaifeng to 11meters higher.

In the 2700 years since the founding of Kaifeng City, Kaifeng burst intoflood 42 times, five of which completely destroyed Kaifeng City. Of course, after each time Kaifeng City was destroyed, people from each dynasty moved backto build a new Kaifeng City on the original site. The history of Kaifengsdevelopment and the history of its being destroyed for several times has longbeen a kind of cultural character of the city, that is, "yellow water cant bedrowned, sand cant be buried, fire cant be burned down, disaster cant becrushed.".

The turbulent history of Kaifeng has long been the civilization of Kaifeng. In the turbulent Yellow River, what kind of historical figures have become theeternal memory of the people of Kaifeng?

There are many historical celebrities in the history of Kaifeng. In ancientChina, the most well-known are the two people who appeared when Kaifeng was thecapital of the Northern Song Dynasty. One is Bao Zheng, and the other is thefamous general of the Yang family. These two people have their historical relicsin Kaifeng, including Baogong temple and Kaifeng mansion. You can see thehistorical relics left until today in Kaifeng mansion The title of Kaifengmansion. The title of Kaifeng Prefecture is a biography of people who haveserved as Fu Yin in Kaifeng for more than 100 years since the founding of theNorthern Song Dynasty. In fact, it is a roster of the chief executive of thecapital of the Northern Song Dynasty. One of the depressions is said to be BaoZheng. When he was 59 years old, he served as the official of Kaifeng, becauseKaifeng was the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty, and the official ofKaifeng was the highest official of the capital. But his name is now out ofsight, just a hollow groove,. It is said that the title of the Kaifeng mansionis written by the common people who touch the name of the Baogong with theirhands when they visit the mansion. The name of the Baogong is depressed, and agroove appears in the Southern Song Dynasty. In fact, Bao Zheng has only been aFu Yin in Kaifeng for more than a year. People miss him because he was a Fu Yinin Kaifeng In addition, he punished corrupt officials, rich people, bullies inthe capital, who were upright and did not harm the people, so he was deeplyloved by the people.

Another popular story in Kaifeng is the general of the Yang family. Thereis a Tianbo Yang mansion in Kaifeng to commemorate the story of Yang Ye and hisdescendants fighting against the Khitans at that time.

Yang Ye was originally a famous general in the Western Han Dynasty. Later, after he was attached to the Song Dynasty, he guarded the Shaanxi frontierfortress for the Song Dynasty. At last, he was framed by Pan Mei, the commanderin chief, and then injured. After that, he was captured and died on hungerstrike. This man was called "Yang linggong". Therefore, starting from "Yanglinggong", his descendants, including his daughter-in-law, became a series ofheroes who would rather die than surrender to resist foreign enemies Xiang hasbecome the pride of Kaifeng people in Chinese history and an important source ofthe cultural spirit of Kaifeng people today.

Kaifeng is a very dedicated city. We know that Kaifeng became the capitalof the Song Dynasty in the Northern Song Dynasty. Later, with the development ofhistory, Kaifeng has always been a down payment of Henan Province. Until theRepublic of China, the capital of Henan Province was always located in Kaifeng. In 1954, the capital of Henan Province moved from Kaifeng to Zhengzhou. Thereasons for moving to Zhengzhou are as follows Such a story.

At the end of the 19th century, after the rise of the WesternizationMovement, China began to have modern railways. At that time, the Beijing Wuhanrailway was built across the north and south, that is, the railway from Beijingto Zhengzhou to Hankou. Later, the railway from Hankou to Guangzhou was alsobuilt, and then the two railways were opened, that is, our Beijing Guangzhourailway. When the railway was originally built, it was originally planned to gothrough Kaifeng After Kaifeng, first of all, he took a straight line. If he tookZhengzhou, he needed to take a turn. At that time, Kaifeng was the capital ofHenan Province. But when Zhang Zhidong, the governor of Huguang at that time, was undertaking this project, he felt that the riverbed area of Kaifeng sectionof the Yellow River was too wide to be repaired. If it was repaired to Mangshan,Zhengzhou, it was the narrowest place of the Yellow River, which was easy torepair. In order to save money, Zhang Zhidong decided that the railway would notpass through Kaifeng, so he moved 70 kilometers westward. At that time, therewas a small county called Kaifeng Zheng county. Today, Zhengzhou is the capitalof Henan Province, so in this way, the Beijing Wuhan railway passes throughZheng county, that is, Zhengzhou instead of Kaifeng, which brings a big problemto Kaifeng. Because Kaifengs transportation is not convenient, and it is not acity on the Beijing Guangzhou railway line, Kaifeng handed over the importanttask of leading the people of Henan Province and carrying out socialistconstruction to Kaifeng in 1954 Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, movedfrom Kaifeng to Zhengzhou in this year.

As a famous historical and cultural city, Kaifeng has its own unique taste.Kaifeng culture is greatly influenced by the Song Dynasty culture. Theinheritance of the Song Dynasty culture is abundant in Kaifeng, which can besummarized as follows:

First, high end. The high end of the Song Dynasty culture is mainlyreflected in the famous painter Zhang Zeduans Qingming Riverside. The birth ofQingming Riverside has a very touching story. Zhang Zeduan was born in ZhuchengCounty, Shandong Province. He was a young painter. During the period of Huizongof Song Dynasty, he lived in daxiangguo temple, the largest temple in Bianjingat that time. He worked as a young painter in daxiangguo temple. Later, whenHuizong of Song Dynasty and his Prime Minister Cai Jing went to daxiangguotemple to make incense, he found Zhang Zeduan and recruited him to the imperialpalace

After entering the royal temple, Zhang Zeduan asked him to draw a pictureof Bianjing city. It took him a long time to draw the prosperous scene on bothsides of Bianhe river. This is the famous picture of Qingming River. After ZhangZeduan finished painting, the versatile song Huizong used a unique calligraphystyle called thin gold style to inscribe on it. This picture is the nationaltreasure of our country. It was collected in the palace five times and stolenfrom the palace four times. Fortunately, it is still well preserved.

Second, the richness of song culture. Ancient China has always had fourmajor inventions, but in addition to Cai Luns papermaking was invented in theHan Dynasty, such as the compass, gunpowder, printing these three majorinventions appeared in the Song Dynasty, so the Song Dynasty is an extremelyprosperous period in ancient China.

There are four calligraphers in the Northern Song Dynasty: Su Shi, HuangTingjian, Mi Fu and Cai Jing. Their calligraphy has been influencing Kaifengscalligraphy to this day. There are many people learning calligraphy in Kaifeng.Kaifeng is the first "famous city of Chinese calligraphy" named by the ChineseCalligraphers Association. There is a forest of Steles called Hanyuan forest ofSteles in Kaifeng. It is the first famous garden of calligraphy named by theChinese Calligraphers Association. There are 121 national calligraphy members inKaifeng, which is more than the number of Chinese calligraphy members in otherprovinces.

Kaifeng also set up a professional university called Wenxiu Academy in SongDynasty, which is specialized in studying embroidery. Therefore, Kaifeng Bianxiuis also famous all over the country. On the 10th anniversary of the founding ofthe peoples Republic of China, we once sent a famous Bianxiu painting "QingmingRiver Painting" to the Great Hall of the people and put it in the Henan Hall ofthe Great Hall of peoples names.

Kaifeng is also famous for its night market. The famous night market inKaifeng is Gulou night market, which originated from Zhouqiao night market inNorthern Song Dynasty. Zhouqiao night market is the most famous one in NorthernSong Dynasty. Today, it is Gulou night market. The varieties of Gulou nightmarket are not only popular in Kaifeng, but also popular in Zhengzhou, Xuchangand Xinxiang Night market, after eating and then back.

There are many kinds of snacks in the night market with different tastes, including stewed fish, wonton, roasted mutton, Camellia oleifera, bean curd andHu chili soup, as well as Babao porridge, Bingtang red pear and peanut cake. There are many cold noodle stalls in the night market. The "old Kaifeng people"are very particular about eating cold noodle. The cold noodle made of sweetpotato powder and mung bean powder is cut into thin slices and added with soysauce and pepper. If it is not yellow and scorched, they will not be satisfied.Tourists who have tasted Kaifeng fried jelly once said, "if you dont eatKaifeng fried jelly, you dont come to Kaifeng.".

Among many Kaifeng delicacies, the barrel chicken is a unique one. It ismade from hens over three years old and simmered in a hundred year old soup. Itis golden in color, fat but not greasy, fresh and crisp. The barrel chicken ofmayuxing in Kaifeng, which was founded in the Northern Song Dynasty, is one ofthe best.

Almond tea, known as "girl killer", is said to be a folk snack introducedby the court of Song Dynasty. It has not only the color and fragrance, but alsothe effect of beauty.

Especially in Kaifeng, we have to eat steamed buns with soup. Stuffed bunwith soup means that there is soup in it. Eating steamed stuffed buns in Kaifengsoup is an important process. The skin of steamed stuffed buns is thin, white asJingdezhen fine porcelain, with a sense of transparency. There are 32 folds onthe steamed bun, which are not even. Placed on a white porcelain plate, thesteamed buns filled with soup look like white chrysanthemums, lifted and clampedup, hanging like lanterns. This is aestheticism

The process of appreciation is indispensable. To eat, there is meatstuffing inside and fresh soup at the bottom. But remember, when you eat steamedstuffed buns with soup, you should pay attention to the bottom. Otherwise, before you can absorb the soup, the soup will flow to your hands along thechopsticks. Lift your wrist to suck it. The soup will flow along your arms andreach your vest. Therefore, we must pay close attention to the soup and eat itwholeheartedly.

Guantang baozi is not only beautiful in form, but also exquisite incontent. Meat stuffing and fresh soup live in the same room, eating it, will bethe north to eat noodles, meat, soup three integration, is a kind of integratedcharm. When eating steamed stuffed buns with soup, the existence of soup rankedfirst, followed by meat stuffing and dough. In Tang Rus poetry, the meat isprose and the skin is novel. Because what is contained in fiction is the essenceof prose.

Well, having said so much, we should have a general understanding ofKaifeng. We are about to arrive at the scenic spot we are going to visit today.Lets have a rest.

Welcome to visit the world natural heritage site (on July 8, 20__, the 32ndWorld Heritage conference held in Quebec, Canada included Sanqing mountain inthe world heritage list. Sanqing mountain became the Seventh World NaturalHeritage in China and the first World Natural Heritage in Jiangxi. )WorldGeopark (at 2:00 a.m. on September 21, 20__, at the 11th World Geopark Congressheld in Aloka, Portugal, Sanqing mountain, as the only declaration unit of Chinain 20__, was officially listed in the list of world geoparks by UNESCO, becomingthe 27th World Geopark in China), and national 5A scenic spot (September 6,20__)!

Sanqing mountain is located in Zihu Town, Huaiyu Township, Nanshan Townshipand Bada township of Dexing City. Sanqingshan Jinsha cableway is located inJinsha village of Sanqingshan (Eastern Service Area) to the north of Zihu Town,Yushan County, and the Nanshan cableway of Sanqingshan is located in Shuangxi(Southern service area) outside Dongao village, Nanshan Township, Yushan County.Shandong is 90 kilometers away from Quzhou, Zhejiang, 115 kilometers away fromWuyishan, Fujian, 78 kilometers away from Shangrao, and 263 kilometers away fromHuangshan, Anhui. The total area of the scenic spot is 229 square kilometers, and the central scenic spot is 71 square kilometers.

Why is it called Sanqing mountain? "Sanqing" is the three highest godsworshipped by Taoism in China - Yuqing, Shangqing and Taiqing. It is said in theTaoist Scripture that "Yujing is the king of gods", which means that Yujing iswhere they live. The main peak of Sanqing mountain is Yujing, 1816.9 metersabove sea level. The three peaks of Yujing, yuxu and Yuhua stand at the sametime, just like the three forefathers of Taoism, so Sanqing mountain gets itsname. Since Gehong first made alchemy in Sanqing mountain 1600 years ago, it hasbecome a famous Taoist mountain. There is a couplet in Sanqing palace, whichsays: "the Qing Dynasty is the most prosperous place in the world; Gao Lingyunis the first fairy peak in the south of the Yangtze River in the Han Dynasty",which means the special position of Sanqing mountain in Taoism.

Sanqing mountain is 229 square kilometers in length, dangerous in the Eastand strange in the west, beautiful in the north and unique in the south. Atpresent, more than 500 landscapes have been developed, including strange peaksand rocks, ancient trees and famous flowers, flowing springs and waterfalls, andsea of clouds and mists

Sanqing mountain was named as the world natural heritage site in 20__ forits unique geography and geology. It is called "the World Natural Museum ofgranite micro landform" by international experts. The history of the formationof this peculiar and valuable geological landform is very long. In the past 1.4billion years, Sanqingshan has undergone tremendous changes. It has beenimmersed in the sea for three times and sank to the bottom of the sea twice for500-600 million years. Due to the action of submarine volcanoes and theHimalayan orogeny in the late Jurassic period 180 million years ago and later, the mountains kept rising, the faults were densely distributed, and the verticalgranite bodies were eroded by weathering for a long time. Coupled with thegravity disintegration, the mountain wonders of Sanqing mountain today werefinally created.

The micro geomorphic types of granite peak forest in Sanqing mountain arecomplete, which can be said to record the evolution process of geomorphology. For example, the macro geomorphic evolution series is from "peak range - peakwall - peak cluster - Stone Forest - peak column - Stone Cone", plus "cliff, peak valley and molding stone". These nine kinds of landforms can be seen inSanqing mountain. In the core scenic area, there are 48 Qifeng, 89 moldingstones, 384 scenery and landscapes, among which two are rare in the world, thePython and the goddess Sichun. After seeing this, Paul, President of theNational Park Foundation of the United States, exclaimed: Sanqing mountain isone of the few boutiques in the world and a treasure of all mankind.

Sanqingshan is also a "natural laboratory" for studying the paleogeology, paleogeography and paleontology evolution of East Asia and North America.According to the theory of continental drift and seafloor spreading platetectonics, during the Triassic period, the world continent was once a unifiedancient land. It formed its present shape through drift 6.5 million years ago,and the seed plants on the ancient land also migrated with the drift of theancient land. Based on the analysis of the flora of Sanqing mountain, it isfound that Liriodendron in Sanqing mountain and Liriodendron in North Americaform a corresponding relationship, and it is the representative of thecorresponding components. Another example is that the East China yellow fir inSanqing mountain is the American Citi fir, which also forms a correspondingrelationship. All these can prove that the Sanqingshan mountains and the NorthAmerican continent were originally linked together.

Sanqing mountain is also known as an important "biological refuge" for EastAsia during the Quaternary ice age. During the Quaternary glacial period, due tothe global temperature decline, many plants were devastated. However, due to thewarm and humid climate of Sanqing mountain and the complex terrain environment,it became a refuge for many ancient plants. Now there are 2373 species of higherplants in Sanqing mountain, many of which are rare. Like Taxus chinensis, Taxuschinensis, Ginkgo biloba, tiannvhua and so on, Sanqingshan is also thedistribution center of hemlock. Especially in the warm spring season, thousandsof acres of Alpine Rhododendron trees are in full bloom. Its fascinating. OnSeptember 26, 20__, the rare plant species of Sanqing mountain were launchedinto space with the "Shenqi" experimental module. There are 25 kinds of plantspecies, 200 grams in total, including rare and endangered species ofshuanghuamu and Acer pulcherrima, Chinese endemic species of Cyclocaryapaliurus, Ilex zingiberensis, Yingchun cherry, etc., East Asia North Americainterspecific species of Ailanthus altissima, national key protected species ofCamellia Cheung, and dominant species of pear, Phoebe bournei, Carpinusleigongensis, etc. The seeds of endangered plants in Sanqing mountain, whichhave traveled in space, have been sent to Sun Yat sen University forcultivation. After successful cultivation, they will be transplanted to Sanqingmountain endangered botanical garden. Sanqing mountain is a world naturalheritage site with rich plant species, including 33 rare and endangered plants. At present, the Sanqing Mountain Management Committee has acquired 1000 mu ofland in Lingtou mountain for the establishment of an endangered botanicalgarden, and plans to introduce North American plants of the same genus, rare andendangered plants, ornamental plants and flowers. During the tour, you will seethat these plants are hung with signboards, so you can have a look at theirstyle.

Sanqingshan is also a national animal protection base. 1728 species of wildanimals have been identified, of which 54 species are under state keyprotection. For example, seven species are under state first-class keyprotection, including black muntjac, clouded leopard, leopard, white necked longtailed pheasant, yellow bellied horned pheasant, Chinese merganser duck andgolden spotted pheasant. There are 47 species of wildlife under the second levelnational key protection.

Hello and welcome to the beautiful Zhangjiajie. Im very glad to visitHuangshi village, the largest skyscraper in Zhangjiajie. Let me introduce myselffirst. My surname is X. you can call me Xiao X.

People often say that "not to Huangshi Zhai, to Zhangjiajie in vain", wecan see that Huangshi Zhai is the essence of the entire Zhangjiajie landscape. Afamous poet used to comment on Huangshi village like this: "five steps arestrange, seven steps are amazing, ten steps away, dumbfounded."

The "secluded path of fir forest" in front of us at this moment wasartificially dug more than ten years ago. The road is steep and winding, loomingin the dense and quiet fir forest. Before the road was dug, there was only oneway to climb Huangshi village. Now, lets follow me along this "fir forest path"to enjoy the dazzling scenery on both sides.

Please pay attention to listen, do you hear bursts of singing? In front isTujia girls singing platform. At the moment, Tujia girls are singing beautifulTujia folk songs on the song platform. You see, they are wearing the mostrepresentative Tujia costumes. Tujia girls are all dressed in beautiful clothes, singing and dancing, which is a warm welcome to the guests from afar. Looking atthe beautiful mountains and rivers in Zhangjiajie all the way, now we see ourhospitable, kind and honest Tujia girls. Do you realize the true meaning of"beautiful mountains, beautiful waters and more beautiful people" inZhangjiajie

Look at the mountain on the right. There is a round stone pillar about 20meters high. On it is a stone box about 3 meters long and 1.5 meters wide. Onthe stone box, there is a stone cover. The stone cover is half in the air, halfon the box, surrounded by five green pines and cypresses. It is said that ZhangLiang once hid the three volumes of Tianshu written by Huang Shigong in the box.Later, because the war subsided, Zhang Liang took out the Tianshu and put it inother places. But he forgot to close the hood. Up to now, a half open stone boxhas been left. Because the stone box once contained the book of heaven, it wasknown as the "treasure box of book of heaven".

Lets take a look at the isolated pillar peak in front of us, and guesswhat the scenic spot is. It rises straight into the sky, reaching more than 300meters high, and its root firmly sticks to the earth. Its really like a giantrock pillar! This is the famous "nantianyizhu" in Zhangjiajie, which is namedbecause it stands under Nantianmen. "A pillar in the South sky" is a close-up ofthe whole scenery of Wulingyuan. It is the epitome of the whole "Wulingyuan"quartz sandstone peak forest landscape, and also the emblem and symbol of"Zhangjiajie International Forest Protection Festival".

Well, now I want to tell you that we have successfully reached the top ofHuangshi village. In front of this round stone peak hanging from top to bottomis the "star picking platform". Climbing on the "star picking platform" willgive people a feeling of "looking at all the mountains". Personality is that atnight, it seems that you can pick the stars from the sky as soon as you reachout. The artificial scenic spot in front of us is "Liuqi Pavilion". The "sixwonders" refer to the wonders of mountains, waters, clouds, rocks, animals andplants. This is also the only artificial landscape in the park.

Well, Ill explain that to you. Next, lets have a free tour. Well gatherhere in half an hour and go back to the hotel. Thank you!

Set on the coast some 280 km east of Beijing, the seaside holiday resort ofBeidaihe is famous not only as a tourist center and as a good place torecuperate after illness, but also as one of the best places in the world to seemigratory birds.

China’’s Yanshan Mountain Range winds its way thousands of miles from thewest to the eastern seaboard. It sends a number of waterways like the Henghe,Daihe, Yanghe and Luanhe rivers down to the Bohai Sea at Beidaihe. They create avast area of wetlands, mud-banks, and lagoons with rich feeding and good placesfor birds to rest. Here migratory routes come together like great seasonalrivers of birds linking northeast Asia with south China, Indo-China, Australiaand even far off east Africa.

Nature has richly endowed Beidaihe with bird species and of the 1,198 foundin China, 416 have been recorded at Beidaihe. This is a part of the world thatplays host to eighteen species of gulls, three of swans, and six of cranes.

Xu Weishu, vice director of the China Ornithological Society tells of thetime when as many as 2,729 oriental white storks were recorded in Beidaihe, doubling the previous world record.

Look into the skies of Beidaihe in the first ten days of November everyyear and you will be sure to see flocks of red-crowned cranes and whitecranes.

The year from May 1999 to May 20__ saw ten new bird species added to thelist for Beidaihe.

Back in the 1940s Danish scientist, Axel Hemmingsen, published a reportsaying that he had seen large numbers of cranes at Beidaihe, but no one followedup on this at the time. Then in 1985 guided by Hemmingsen’’s report, Britishornithologist Doctor Martin Williams first came to Beidaihe. With the help of anofficial from the Beidaihe tourism authority, Dr Williams visited ShijiutuoIsland in nearby Laoting County. What he discovered there was far beyond hisexpectations and he found many new kinds of birds. Since then, accompanied byhis Chinese counterpart, Xu Weishu, he has brought many overseas professionalstogether in Beidaihe every year to enjoy watching the birds and carry outresearch.

Since the first two parties of Chinese bird enthusiasts visited Beidaihe in1999, more and more domestic visitors have joined bird watching groups goingthere on vacation.

Beidaihe has enjoyed a good reputation since 1893. It was then that aBritish engineer helping build a railway line recognized that with its lowhills, beaches and sea breezes, the headland was an ideal place to go to escapethe summer heat of the interior. On his recommendation, the first holidaymakersarrived. Beidaihe, until then a poor fishing village, quickly became popularwith diplomats, merchants, missionaries, and well off Chinese.

Meanwhile the birds are regular visitors here too. Flocks of gulls areeasily spotted. What might not be so easy is to be able to distinguish among thebewildering variety in the skies over Beidaihe. Many different birds passthrough here as the seasons come and go and every year still sees fresh speciesspotted. It is a magnificent sight to see the occasional flock of large cranespass by or to watch the birds of prey, however the larger birds have beendecreasing in number.

THE FORBIDDEN CITY(紫禁城)

(Infront of the meridian gate)

This is the palace museum; also know as the Purple Forbidden City. It isthe largest and most well reserved imperial residence inChinatoday. Under MingEmperor Yongle, construction began in 1406. It took 14 years to build theForbidden City. The first ruler who actually lived here was Ming Emperor Zhudi. For five centuries thereafter,it continued to be the residence of 23 successiveemperors until 1911 when Qing Emperor Puyi was forced to abdicate the throne .In1987, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organizationrecognized the Forbidden City was a world cultural legacy.

It is believed that the Palace Museum, orZi Jin Cheng (Purple ForbiddenCity), got its name from astronomy folklore, The ancient astronomers divided theconstellations into groups and centered them around the Ziwei Yuan(North Star). The constellation containing the North Starwas called the Constellation ofHeavenly God and star itself was called the purple palace. Because the emperorwas supposedly the son of the heavenly gods, his central and dominant positionwould be further highlighted the use of theword purple in the name of hisresidence. In folklore, the term ”an eastern purple cloud is drifting” became ametaphor for auspicious events after apurple cloud was seen drifting eastwardimmediately before the arrival of anancient philosopher, LaoZi, to the HanghuPass. Here, purple isassociated with auspicious developments. The word jin(forbidden) isself-explanatory as the imperial palace was heavily guarded andoff-explanatoryas the imperial palace was heavily guarded and off-limits toordinary people.

The red and yellow used on the palace wallsand roofs are also symbolic. Redrepresents happiness, good fortune and wealth.Yellow is the color of the earthon the Loess Plateau, the original home of the Chinese people. Yellow became animperial color during the Tang dynasty, whenonly members of the royal familywere allowed to wear it and use it in their architecture.

The Forbidden Cityis rectangular in shape. It is 960 meters long from northto south and 750meter wide from east west. It has 9,900 rooms under a total roofarea 150,000square meters .A 52-meter-wide-moat encircles a 9.9-meter―high wallwhich enclosesthe complex. Octagon ―shaped turrets rest on the four corners ofthe wall. There are four entrances into the city: the MeridianGate to the south, the Shenwu Gate(Gate of Military Prowess) to the north, andthe Xihua Gate(Gateof military Prowess) to the north, and the Xihua Gate(Western Flowery Gate )tothe west ,the Donghua (Eastern Flowery Gate) tothe east.

Manpower and materials throughout thecountry were used to build theForbidden City.A total of 230,000 artisans and one million laborers wereemployed. Marble wasquarried from fangshan Country Mount Pan in Jixian County inHebei Province.Granite was quarried in Quyang County in Hebei Province. Pavingblockswere fired in kilns in Suzhou in southernChina. Bricksand scarletpigmentation used on the palatial walls came from linqing in Shandong Province.Timber was cut ,processed and hauled from the northwestern and southernregions.

The structure in front of us is the Meridian Gate. It is the main entranceto the forbidden City. It is also knowsas Wufenglou(Five-Phoenix Tower). Mingemperorsheld lavish banquets here on the 15th day of the first month of theChinese lunar year in hornor of their counties .They also used this place forpunishingofficals by flogging them with sticks.

Qing emperors used this building toannounce the beginning of the new year.Qing Emperor Qianglong changed the original name of this announcement ceremonyfrom ban li(announcement ofcalendar)to ban shou(announcement of new moon )toavoid coincidentalassociation with another Emperor` s name, Hongli, which wasconsidered a tabooat that time. Qing Dynasty emperors also used this place tohold audience andfor other important ceremonies. For example, when the imperialarmy returnedvictoriously from the battlefield ,it was here that the Emperorpresided overthe ceremony to accept prisoners of war.

(After entering the Meridian Gate andstanding in front of the Five MarbleBridges on Golden Water River)

now we are inside the Forbidden City.Beforewe start our tour, I would liketo briefly introduce you to the architectural patterns befour us .To completethis solemn, magnificent and palatial complex,a variety of buildings werearranged on a north-south axis, and8-kilometer-long invisible line that hasbecome an inseparable part of the Cityof Beijing. The Forbidden City coversroughly one ?third of this central axis. Most of the important building in theForbidden City weree arranged along this line. The designand arrangement of thepalaces reflect the solemn dignity of the royal courtand rigidly ?stratifiedfeudal system.

The Forbidden Cityis divided into an outer and an inner count. We are nowstanding on the southern most part of the outer count. In front of us lies theGate of supreme Harmony .The gate is guarded by a pair of bronze lions, symbolizing imperial power and dignity. The lions were the most exquisite andbiggest of its kind. The one on the east playing with a ball is a male, and ballis said to represent state unity. The other one is a female. Underneath one ofits foreclaws is a cub that is considered to be a symbol of perpetual imperialsuccession. The winding brook before us is the Golden Water River. It functionsbothas decoration and fire control .The five bridges spanning the riverrepresentthe five virtues preached by Confucius :benevolence, righteousness, rites, intellence and fidelity. The river takes the shape of a bow and thenorth-southaxis is its arrow. This was meant to show that the Emperors ruled thecountryon behalf of God.

(In front of the Gate of Supreme Harmony)

The Forbidden Cityconsists of an outer countyard and an inner enclosure. The out count yardcovers a vast space lying between the Meridian Gate and theGate of HeavenlyPurity. The “three big halls” of Supreme Harmony, CompleteHarmony and Preserving Harmony constitute the center of this building group.Flanking themin bilateral symmetry are two groups of palaces: Wenhua (ProminentScholars)and Wuying (Brave Warriors) . The three great halls are built on aspacious“H”-shaped, 8-meter-high, triple marble terrace, Each level of thetripleterrace is taller than the on below and all are encircled by marblebalustradescarved with dragon and phoenix designs. There are three carved stonestaircases linking the three architectures .The hall of supreme Harmony is alsothetallest and most exquisite ancient wooden-structured mansion in all ofChina. From thepalace of Heavenly Purith northward is what isknown as the inner court, which is also built in bilaterally symmetrical patterns. In the center are thePalaceof Heavenly Purity, the Hall of Unionand Peace and Palace of EarthlyTranquility, aplace where the Emperors lived with their families and attended tostateaffairs. Flanking these structures are palaces and halls in whichconcubinesand princes lived. There are also three botanical gardens within theinnercount, namely, the imperial Garden, Caning garden and Quailing garden. Aninner Golden Water Riverflows eastwardly within the inner court. The brook windsthrough three minorhalls or palaces and leads out of the Forbidden City.It isspanned by the White Jade Bridge. The river is lined with winding, marble ?carvedbalustrades.

Most of thestructures within the Forbidden City haveyellow glazed tileroofs.

Aside from giving prominence to thenorth-south axis, other architecturalmethods were applied to make every groupof palatial structures unique in termsof terraces, roofs, mythical monstersperching on the roofs and colored, drawingpatterns. With these, the grandcontour and different hierarchic spectrum of thecomplex were strengthened.Folklore has it that there are altogether 9,999room-units in the Forbidden City. Since Paradiseonly has 10,000 rooms, the Sonof Heaven on earth cut the number by half aroom. It is also rumoured that thishalf ?room is located to the west of the Wenyuange Pavilion (imperial library). As a matter of fact, although the Forbidden City has more than 9,000 room-units,this half-room is nonexistent. The Wenyuange Pavilion is a library where “Si KuQuan Shu”- China `s first comprehensive anthology-was stored.

(After walking past the Gate of SupremeHarmony)

The construction of the Hall of Supreme Harmony began in 1406. It burneddown three times and was severely damaged onceduring a mutiny. The existingarchitecture was built during the Qing Dynasty. On the corners of the eaves aline of animal-nails were usually fastened to thetiles. These animal-nails werelater replace with mythical animals to ward offevil spirits. There arealtogether 9 such fasteners on top of this hall. The number nine was regarded bythe ancients to be the largest numeral accessibleto man and to which only theemperors were entitled.

There was a total of 24 successive emperorsduring the Ming and Qingdynasties who were enthroned here. The ball was alsoused for ceremonies whichmarked other great occasions: the Winter Solstice,The Chinese Lunar New Year, the Emperor` s birthday, conferral of the title ofempress, the announcement ofnew laws and policies, and dispatches of generalsto war .On such occasions, theEmperor would hold audience for his courtofficials and receive theirtributes.
